Caring for Your Alta Medical Compression Garments

Storage

When not in use, attach the Velcro® loops to your SiennaWrap and store them in the bag. Keeping those Velcro® loops free of lint, hair, fibers and fur is one of the most effective ways to make sure your SiennaWrap lasts for a long time. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Washing Instructions

SiennaWrap Compression Wrap

Wash as frequently as needed to ensure good tissue hygiene.  Machine wash in warm water with a mild detergent and tumble dry on low. Always wash with the Velcro® hook attached to the garment. Place SiennaWrap in a mesh laundry bag to extend the life of the garment.

Alta Medical Liners and Compression Stockings

Liners should be washed after each use. Machine wash in warm water with a mild detergent and tumble dry on low heat. DO NOT USE bleach, chlorine, fabric softeners, or other laundry additives.

I don't know what my measurements are.

If you don’t know your measurements, talk with your therapist. Or you can follow the instructions on the sizing chart for each garment. You’ll need a tape measure. Measure as indicated, then choose the size that fits you best.

Measuring can be confusing sometimes, so please reach out if you have any questions. We’re happy to walk you through it.

I'm in between sizes what do I do?

By design, our SiennaWrap Compression Wraps fit a range of sizes.

For example, the XL SiennaWrap Compression Wrap for Calf fits an ankle size of 31-39 cm. The L SiennaWrap Compression Wrap for Calf fits an ankle size of 26-34 cm. Your ankle measurement might be 33 cm. When in doubt, choose the larger size.

Do you make custom garments if I cannot fit your standard sizes?

Yes, we are currently trialing custom garments. Please ask your therapist to contact us if they are interested in being a part of the trial.

Is the SiennaWrap Compression Wrap just for lymphedema?

Depending on the compression wrap, they’re also for conditions like lipedema and other forms of edema such as, chronic venous insufficiency and pre or post surgical edema.

If you have questions about your condition or care, reach out to your therapist or doctor. If you’re a therapist and you have questions, give us a call and we’ll be happy to help.

What is mmHg?

mmHg stands for millimeters of mercury. It's a unit used to measure pressure, especially in things like blood pressure and compression devices.

Should I order more than one garment?

Patients often report to us that they order three at a time: one to wear, one to wash, and one to dry. This is also the recommendation from CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services).

Can I return something?

Yes, our return policy is listed here.
