Hello and welcome to Alta Medical!

We’re Kathy and Kyle Weatherly, and we believe in a fresh approach to edema care. Yes, this means developing inventive products, but it also means offering engaging education, efficient ordering and responsive customer service.  And that is the mission of Alta Medical.

Alta Medical is not our first compression garment company. Kathy (Mom) started our first company in our home on Alta Louise Pkwy over two decades ago. Kathy was a clinical occupational therapist at the time, and she felt frustrated because her edema patients weren’t getting the compression garments they needed and deserved. So she started sewing garments in her basement. Kyle (Son) joined the business eight years later, and over the next 10 years, we grew from a basement to a multinational company. We sold that company in 2014.

We never imagined we’d be back.  But a family friend asked us to recommend a compression garment. We looked around for something new, something innovative, and we found that nothing had changed. Nearly everything – the garments, the websites, the customer experience — was the same as it was a decade ago.

Frustration served as inspiration once again. We started talking about new ideas for a better compression wrap. We began to design new garments and source new materials. We started brainstorming ideas with patients and therapists. Then we shared our prototypes with patients and therapists. We improved and refined for more than a year. 

And now we are proud to launch SiennaWrap. We developed the compression garment you’re about to wear with more than 40 years of expertise and feedback from dozens of therapists and hundreds of patients. We also want to hear from you. We’re excited to hear your thoughts so we can serve you better.
